Ship and Fly with your own vehicle to any UK Airport Ship and Fly offers you, our client, the opportunity to fly to the UK from the Channel Islands to be greeted with your vehicle at any airport of your choice.
Our primary destination is Southampton Airport with your travel time by air being just 35 minutes.
How does it work?
We would suggest in the first instance that you call the Ship and fly office on 01481 728800 or from Jersey (01534) 725974 to explore the flight times and availability of Blue Islands flights to and from Southampton. Ship and Fly staff will be happy to book fully flexible Blue Islands flights for you. Alternatively or go on line at www.blueislands.com
In the unlikely event that you cannot find what you are looking for you may choose to visit www.flybe.com who also operate to Southampton ex JER and GCI.
Once you have secured your flights you contact us with your flight details to hand, along with your vehicle details which include: Make, Model, Registration number and the colour. With these details we are able to make a booking around your flights to allow us to have your car delivered to the Airport normally an hour or two prior to your arrival.

our vehicle can sail on the RoRo ferry the day before you are due to fly.
Sending the vehicle from the islands to the UK with a little more lead time or by container can save money. (Speak to one of our consultants for details.) If necessary the vehicle will then be parked in a secure compound within Portsmouth Docks overnight ready for us to collect, load and transport to the airport ready for your arrival. On rare occasions, for logistical reasons or in the case of heavy vehicles our experienced drivers may elect to drive your vehicle between Portsmouth and The Airport. Should this be the case we will happily cover the cost of the fuel consumed.
Where do I collect my car from?
We have designated parking spaces in the Short term stay car park, which is directly opposite the main Terminal building. Your keys and ticket will be in the security office on the ground floor of the car park, and your car will be awaiting you on the top floor. If we for some reason cannot park on the top floor we will mark on the ticket where the car is parked for your collection.
On your return you do a reverse process in time to make your flight back to your destination. We will then collect your vehicle from the Airport, transport it back to Portsmouth docks ready for the 09:00 sailing the following day.
If in Guernsey your vehicle will be ready for collection between 16:00 hours and 17:00 hours, and Jersey between 19:30 and 20:00 hours. If you are unable to collect your vehicle within these times you can collect the following day between 09:00 - 17:00 (Guernsey) In Jersey collections can be done at the Condor offices in the Elisabeth Terminal.(07:00 – 20:00).
For a small extra cost delivery to a home or business address as an option. (These times sometimes differ depending on the state of the tide within the Channel Islands)
How much does this cost?
A round trip with Ship and Fly from either Jersey or Guernsey to Southampton airport varies in price depending on which carrier we use, RoRo, containered or even on a car trailer. By calling one of our specialists you will be given the options open to you to coordinate with your flights. Then it is down to you entirely as to which service you prefer and whether convenience or price is more important to you. The cost of flights must be added to the vehicle transportation charge to get your total travel cost. This is perceived as good value for money by our substantial client base for arguably the most convenient way to the U.K. One way trips are of course available with northbounds (to the U.K.) normally costing 40% of a round trip and southbounds (to the islands) 60% due to increased demand on space into the islands.

Collection / delivery of your vehicle from home or work can be an affordable part of your package.
On top of that we offer an optional £20.00 for fully comprehensive insurance whilst your vehicle is in transit. All other Airports tend to be on a meet and greet basis, price dependant, please contact us for further details. |
