Please see below some common questions asked by our customers along with our answer in response:

Can I load bags in my car prior to shipping? Is there a limit?
When traveling to the UK from the Channel Islands please feel free to load the car as much as you wish, there is no limit but you must have room at least for the driver. Freighting cars overseas exposes the contents of a car to individuals we cannot vouch for. As such under these circumstances the contents must be carried exclusively at the customers own risk. No exceptions.

Can pets be accommodated in the vehicle?
No, unfortunately there is no facility for carrying animals of any sort in your car.

May I fill the car with fuel prior to departure?
Yes, however if is overflowing the car could pose a fire risk and will not be carried.

Channel Island fuel is comparatively cheap. Can I take a couple of jerry cans with me to save money?
Absolutely not. Fuel cans of any size are not permitted in the vehicle as they are regarded as a fire risk on the ship.

Will my personal effects be secure in the car if I use the Ship and Fly service to a UK Airport?
On the boat, on the car transporter and in the Airport
car park your effects are under either personal vigilance or being watched by CCTV.

If I wanted to, can I take the car empty and fill it up with purchases in the U.K. for the return?
Yes but be prepared to show the customs man the goods in the vehicle at your departure Airport prior to sending it off on the car transporter if you are wanting to recover the VAT.

How long will it be between me depositing my car and being reunited with it?
Normally 24 hours. However transport times and the logistics of Ferry times can vary. At all times the period of separation
is minimized.

If problems occur whilst I'm away can I come back earlier?
Of course. Our policy is to send the vehicle back on the first available space. Your carrier may elect to charge a fee for changing your flights but may take a lenient view on compassionate grounds. Ask them!
